13 Ramazan bazaars on the cards in Sargodha

More than 25 daily use commodities will be available in the markets at low rates

SARGODHA: The district administration will set up 13 Ramazan bazaars in different localities from May 1. More than 25 daily use commodities will be available in the markets at low rates, said Deputy Commissioner Salwat Saeed on Monday.

Fair price shops were also being established while five bazaars will be setup in Sargodha tehsil, two in Shahpur, two in Sahiwal and one bazaar each will also be established in Bhalwal, Bhera Silanwali and Kotmomin tehsils, she added.

Ramazan bazaars to open soon

Last year, an air conditioned marquee was constructed in the district. This year such a setup will not be established. However, all the basic facilities will be provided at the bazaars, she said.

The departments concerned have also been assigned duties in this regard and the agriculture department will also arrange special fruit and vegetable stalls.

The supply of chicken, meat and sugar will be ensured at Rs10 lesser than that in the open market, she claimed. She maintained that there will be no compromise on the quality of edibles.
