Beyond skies: PIA inaugurates flight academy
The academy aims for training commercial pilots who will be a part of the cockpit crew at PIA and other airlines.
KARACHI:
A cadet at the PIA's Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Flight Academy geared up for his first flight as he took off a Cessna 172N aircraft under his instructor’s supervision on Saturday.
The flight was followed by a press briefing in the PIA training centre which was attended by 16 cadets from Nawabshah.
The standard and special project director Junaid Younus addressed the cadets during the press briefing.
The state-of-the-art training facilities provided to the cadets can be put at par with the international standards and codes.
Modern training aids such as simulators, computer based training, models and actual aircraft instruments will be used for training purposes.
