LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar reviewed public welfare projects and the development programme for Dera Ghazi Khan division and other districts in south Punjab. Presiding over a meeting at his office on Thursday, the chief minister said that he would visit the areas to observe the pace of development work.

Every area should be given its share in the development programme, he added. Buzdar also sought a list of loans given to small farmers in tribal areas. He reprimanded the forest department for planting a small amount of trees under the tree-plantation campaign. The meeting reviewed projects relating to construction of roads, government buildings, hospitals and schools. Buzdar expressed his dissatisfaction over the lack of progress on development schemes. Every possible effort should be made to complete the Muzaffargarh-DG Khan road project early, he said.
