Experts from Finland to train teachers

Signs a contract with the KU to arrange the training

KARACHI: Durbeen, a non-governmental organisation that took charge of the management of Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, has signed a contract with the University of Karachi (KU) to arrange the training of teachers of the college, associated with the KU, by education experts from the University of Helsinki, Finland.

The experts from the University of Helsinki will visit Karachi in the month of June to impart one-month training to the teachers. The new session of four-year BEd Honours at Government Elementary College of Education will start in August. The training module will be implemented in KU and other education colleges after its success.

Finland is renowned for its education system and the education programme for teachers, BEd Honours, which was designed by the education experts in Finland. It has been awarded the title of the best programme in the world by The Economist.
