Power Division to take strict action against defaulters

Connections of running defaulters will be disconnected after the deadline

ISLAMABAD: The Power Division has decided to take strict action against electricity defaulters across the country and electricity distribution companies a
re actively working in this regard.

Comprehensive lists of running and dead/disconnected defaulters containing their complete information have been prepared by the distribution companies, according to a statement issued by the Power Division.

In the first phase, lists of all defaulters above Rs1 million across the country will be published after the deadline of April 30, 2019. These lists will also be posted on websites of distribution companies concerned and Power Information Technology Company.

As per directives of the Power Division, after April 30, 2019 action will be taken against these defaulters. The distribution companies will ensure that no disconnected defaulter gets electricity from any other alternative source.

Similarly, the connections of running defaulters will be disconnected after the deadline and their properties will be proceeded against as per revenue laws.
