Five killed as landslide rocks minibus in occupied Kashmir

Incident injures 11 others in Doda district of the occupied valley

At least five people — including three women — have been killed in a landslide in the Doda district of Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), Radio Pakistan reported.

The incident reportedly injured 11 others. According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred when a minibus — travelling from Doda to Kahara — carrying passengers came under a boulder after a landslide rocked the stretch of Thathri-Gandoh road in the Piyakul area of the district.

In January, at least eight labourers were killed and several others went missing after a passenger van got buried by a landslide at Karakoram Highway in the Kohistan district. Authorities and volunteers commenced a rescue operation to salvage the victims from the rubble.
