Special Advisor to Prime Minister on  Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that unity between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is premised on corruption and shall fail, Radio Pakistan reported.

Awan further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had staunch principles and was committed to establishing a welfare state similar to that of Medina.


On several occasions, PM Imran has asserted that former leaders Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari could only be reprieved in corruption cases if they returned the nation's looted wealth.
