Thief caught after falling in pothole in Dubai
Suspect has been referred to the criminal court
A security guard of a new housing scheme in Dubai caught a thief on Wednesday after he fell into a pothole while trying to escape, Khaleej Times reported.
The thief, reported as a 47-year-old Asian man, along with his gang members, was chased down the street by the security official and landed inside the pothole.

According to the security guard, he encountered a gang of thieves inside one of the under-construction villas when he allegedly heard noises and decided to take a look. Upon confrontation, he pursued the men and that is when one of the perpetrators fell into the ditch. The man was immediately nabbed and handed over to the police.
Following his arrest, he was charged with attempted theft and the public prosecution requested for his imprisonment and deportation.
