Wildlife dept recovers 1,000 myna birds
Wildlife department’s squad also took action against quail hunters

The Punjab wildlife department’s special squad on Tuesday arrested four people selling myna birds and recovered around 1,000 birds from their custody.
The team also took action against poachers capturing quails in Bhakkar. Acting on special directives from Punjab Wildlife Department Honorary Games Warden Badar Muneer in Sialkot, a special squad arrested a gang selling myna birds and recovered around 1,000 birds from their possession.
However, the main dealer managed to escape. The spokesman for the wildlife department said action would be taken against the four accused and the dealer while the birds will be released on court’s orders.
Furthermore, the wildlife department’s squad also took action against hunters involved in quail hunting and confiscated tape records, nets and speakers used in hunting the birds
