Kamal urges Centre to finalise PFC
Stresses the need to resolve public issues on a priority basis
KARACHI:
Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Monday urged the Federal government to finalise Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) alongside the National Finance Commission (NFC). Addressing the party meeting, he said the Centre is currently engaged in dialogue with the provincial governments on the NFC, while there is a dire need of the PFC to address the grievances of masses. In order to ensure maximum benefits at the grass roots level, the government must link the PFC with the NFC. Kamal warned that if the government failed to finalise the PFC this time, people would enjoy no benefits from the NFC and the 18th Constitutional Amendment. He stressed the need to resolve public issues on a priority basis and ensure a peaceful environment for boosting business and trade activities.
