Murdered woman, children laid to rest
A deceased were brutally murdered at their residence in Orangi Town in Karachi with a sharp weapon
KARACHI:
A woman and her two children, who were brutally murdered at their residence in Orangi Town with a sharp weapon, were laid to rest in a local graveyard on Monday.
The funeral of 32-year-old Anila and her children, three-year-old twins Barira Fatima and Abdul Hadi, was attended by aggrieved family members and neighbours. The funeral prayers were offered on Gulshan-e-Bahar Road after Zuhr prayers.
The murders took place at the victims' residence near Daata Chowk, in the limits of Pakistan Bazaar Police Station. Case No 109/2019 has been registered against unknown assailants under Section 34 read with Section 302 [the former applies to acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention while the latter pertains to punishment of qatl-i-amd or homicidal murder] of the Pakistan Penal Code on behalf of Anila's brother, Muhammad Waris.
According to Pakistan Bazaar DSP Jamil Bangashan, the triple murder was likely committed by persons close to the victims.Police have initiated investigation and taken statements from a few witnesses.
