Here's a reminder: "I don’t know why people think I’m a spokesperson for the Pakistani government. What do you expect from a state that’s run by Shariah laws?”
PHOTO: MWShe had added, “They’re a nonsecular state. Why should we hold up Pakistan, which is a failing state? I don’t understand why we keep taking pleasure and feeling a sense of self-worth from all the silly things that happen in Pakistan. Rest assured, Pakistanis have way worse vocabulary than we do. I know.”
Well, although she tried to rectify that by stating, "Failing state or not, it’s very similar to India in many ways," we don't think many will forget her original comments.
PHOTO: MWNevertheless, recently, the actor took to Twitter to apologise to the Muslims of India. "I want to apologise to the Muslims of India and the non-Savarna castes of India and the Muslims of India again for the ceaseless offensive BULLSH*T and bigotry they have to listen to about themselves this election season."
She went on to reassure them that this is their country too."Don’t be silenced. CALL THIS SH*T OUT."
