Actor Saboor Aly debunks suicide rumours

'Mere Khudaya' star took to Instagram to set the record straight

Social media has been abuzz with rumours regarding Mere Khudaya actor Saboor Aly. Numerous people have been speculating that the starlet tried to take her own life.

However, there is no truth in said rumours. Saboor took it upon herself to put an end to the gossip and set the record straight. She posted a message for her followers on Instagram which read as follows: "I would like to clarify a rumour spreading around social media about me attempting suicide," she began. "Alhamdulillah there is no truth to any of this. I had simply been admitted to hospital due to a bad case of food poisoning and I am fine now."

The Ishq Mein Kaafir star went to appreciate her well-wishers. "I would like to thank everyone who has been calling or messaging me for their love, concern and wishes - I am humbled by the love."

She added, "I would also like to take this opportunity to request everyone to please not spread such news about anyone as mental health and death are not topics of jokes and no one needs to be put through this kind of trauma simply because you were misinformed."

Saboor concluded with advising people to think of others before posting such news.

Various fans took to the comments section to show their support. "Social media really gets out of control sometimes, I agree with you 100%. I hope you’re good. Sending you lots of love and prayers! Please take care of yourself," wrote one user. Another stated, "May Allah bless you with a healthy wealthy speedy recovery, lots of duas (prayers).
