PM to meet Hazarganji blast victims in Quetta today

The visit, originally planned for April 18, was postponed for undisclosed reasons

QUETTA:
Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Quetta today (Sunday) to meet the bereaved Hazara families and offer his condolences on the deaths of their loved ones in last week’s Hazarganji blast that claimed 22 lives.

Strict security measures have been implemented in preparation for the prime minister’s arrival, with security personnel deployed at Quetta’s Zarghoon Road, Airport Road and other areas. Main areas of the city are also being cleaned as part of the preparations for the PM's visit.

He will also inaugurate Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme projects in the provincial capital and Gwadar.

In the first phase, thousands of houses are to be built in Quetta and Gwadar for employees of the provincial and federal governments.

The prime minister was due to visit Quetta on April 18 but the visit was postponed due to unspecified reasons. After visiting Quetta, the premier will leave for an official visit to Iran.
