Five women abducted as enemity between two clans escalates.

SUKKUR:

Three Shar and two Bozdar women were kidnapped, while two women and one girl from the Shar clan were injured in a conflict that began with the kidnapping of a Shar woman.

Naziran, the wife of Sono Shar, had been kidnapped from her house, in Amal Jo Daro village, near Khanpur Mahar on Monday. Sono alleged that Suhno Bozdar kidnapped his wife.

On Wednesday, two Bozdar women, Mai Azmat and Mai Adi, were on their way to Jamal Bozdar, their village, when armed Shar clansmen kidnapped them from near Khanpur Mahar Bypass.

To avenge the kidnapping, dozens of Bozdar men raided a temporary settlement of the nomadic Shar tribe near Ghotki Bypass. The men injured Zulekha, Shammi and a girl, Asia, upon resistance. The Bozdar men allegedly kidnapped Mai Hakim and Sohand and fled.

The Khanpur Mahar police say that no one has come to lodge an FIR but they are trying to rescue the kidnapped women.
