Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday took a jibe at the opposition leaders accused of money laundering by saying that certain quarters "made a plunder a way of life."

The premier spoke out via Twitter, sharing the cryptic message quoting French writer Frédéric Bastiat: "When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorises it and a moral code that glorifies it."

PTI-led govt vows no let-up in accountability

PM Imran said, "The truth of this saying is reflected clearly in the way money launderers are treated and the way they behave with indignation when questioned."

The prime minister's message comes in the wake of leaders of both the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) coming out and lambasting the government over accountability proceedings against them.

Earlier on April 7, Prime Minister Imran also shared a Hadith of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on the microblogging website, saying: “Our Prophet PBUH said: “Many nations before you were destroyed where there was one law for the powerful and another for the weak.”
