MPA Rabia Naseem Farooqi made this demand through a resolution she submitted in the Punjab Assembly secretariat contending PM Khan gave a controversial interview to the British broadcasting agency.
She said in her resolution that the PM's statement was contradictory to the policies of the state which was highly regrettable.
She also strongly condemned the PM's statement, which according to her, was an efforts to detach Pakistan from the international community.
She said Khan was a 'selected the prime minister' and he was not eligible to run the matters of the state. She demanded the PM's resignation over his statement that earned a bad name for Pakistan.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Rabia Naseem Farooqi said Indian Prime Minister Modi and other enemies were trying to push Pakistan into a war while PM Khan's statement damaged the nation's morale at the international level. She said the country was at a critical juncture.
"What sort of message we wanted to give abroad, what sort of image we want to create in the international community," she asked. She warned that no such attitude would be tolerated.
"The PM should focus on providing relief to the poor masses who were dying owing to the skyrocketing prices rather than opening another front," she remarked.
