Dispute Over Money: Woman, 5-month-old shot dead

LAHORE: A woman and her five-month-old child were shot dead over money in Allama Iqbal Town on Thursday. Police said that Faiza Latif, 30, and her daughter, Abiha, were killed at their home in Bhekewal allegedly by one Qaisar Abbas Niazi. They said Niazi’s sister, Shamim, had quarrelled with the deceased a few days ago and that he had threatened to kill Faiza. Muhammad Latif, husband of the deceased, told the police that Naizi and an accomplice shot Faiza twice in the head and his daughter in the abdomen, before they fled the scene. Niazi’s family said that he had left the city. SHO Qamar Abbas told The Express Tribune that the police were looking for Niazi.
