Snooker: Pakistan cueists leave for UAE

KARACHI:
Pakistan’s top cueists Mohammad Sajjad and Shahid Aftab left for Dubai yesterday to represent the country in the 12-nation International Snooker Team Series that starts today. Both were upbeat about their chances in the event. “We’ve worked hard for the event,” said Sajjad. “We’ve spent almost three weeks in Islamabad to prepare for the event. Hopefully, we’ll succeed in applying what we learnt during the training camp.” The Sargodha-based cueist felt the event will be a good launching pad for next month’s amateur World Cup in Thailand.
