Local Organising Committees have been formed, under the supervision of Secretary-General PFF Mohammad Siddique Sheikh, to overlook formation of teams, player selection and other related matters.
Speaking about the initiative, Sheikh said: "This tournament is part of our grassroots football program and we hope that it will help us improve the standard of district football in Pakistan."
A three-day trial for selection of three Karachi teams (red, green and whites) for the qualifying round of inter-city championship has been completed.
Hundreds of players participated in the trials. First round of the competition will be played in Karachi and Tando Jam.
Quetta, Gwadar to have international football stadiums
Participants from Sindh will be divided in two groups of three teams each who will compete in a single league. The top team from each group will qualify for the final round which will be played from April 22 to May 3 in Islamabad, Bahawalpur and Multan.
