KSE starts week with upward trend

KARACHI:

Karachi Stock Exchange began the week with an upward movement on the first day as key indices rose considerably, with a healthier exchange volume.


The 100-Index made considerable ground in the past week and seems ready for a breach back above the 10,000 barrier. KSE-100 Index is at 9,790 with an increase of 155 points so far.


Top companies on the benchmark KSE-100 Index were Lotte Pakistan, Jahangir Siddiqi and Telecard followed by Nishat Textiles.


The All-Share Index gained a 113 points today, while the total exchange volume at the market was 170 million.
