Seven Pakistani institutions ranked among top 1,000 universities worldwide
No university from Sindh, K-P and Balochistan made it to list
The QS World University Rankings 2019 has included seven Pakistani universities into its annual global grading of top 1,000 universities worldwide.
The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), an Islamabad-based varsity has been ranked as the country's highest-ranking varsity at 397.
The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) stands at 417 followed by Quaid-e-Azam university (QAU).
Following are ranks and universities named in the list:
PIEAS: 397
NUST Islamabad: 417
QAU: 551-560
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS): 701-750
Comsats Institute of Information Technology: 751-800
University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore: 801-1000
University of the Punjab: 801-1000
However, no university from Sindh, K-P and Balochistan made it to the global ranking.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology grabbed the top position in the world followed by Stanford University and Harvard University respectively.
