Accused deprived people of their valuables at gunpoint
MANDI BAHAUDDIN:
Police arrested six members of a notorious gang of bandits on Friday in Mandi Bahauddin’s Phalia tehsil.
DSP City Circle Iftikhar Ahmed told Express News that Qadirabad police station SHO and his team conducted a successful raid at a hideout after receiving a tip off. The officials arrested five wanted bandits from the Mudassari gang.
He added that the accused were identified as Mudassir Iqbal, Amir Shehzad, Muhammad Usman, Ibrar Hassan, Adnan Ansar and Shiraz Ali.
He disclosed that illegal weapons, cash, mobile phones and other items were seized from the possession of the outlaws.
The DSP mentioned that culprit Mudassir was the ring leader of the gang and wanted by police in several criminal cases of a heinous nature.

Iftikhar revealed that the suspects had injured many citizens during different hold ups and had evaded the police several times in the past.
He pointed out that the accused had committed several robberies and deprived people of their valuables at gunpoint.
The police official said that the arrest of the culprits will help control criminal activities in the region. Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the suspects and have opened investigations.
Earlier, police apprehended four notorious gangsters in Nankana Sahib.
Reportedly, the force received a tipoff that wanted gangsters, belonging to a notorious criminal gang, were present in the area and were planning to carry out a robbery.
The police team immediately conducted a raid and nabbed the suspects who were identified as Khalid alias commando, Babar, Riaz and Pervez.
However, two accomplices of the accused escaped after taking advantage of the darkness. Two pistols, ammunition and other valuables were seized from the possession of the outlaws. The police said the gang used to commit robberies and was involved in carrying out criminal activities in different areas.
The accused were wanted by police in several criminal cases in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalnagar and other cities.
