Seminar held in Lahore highlighting role of forests in biodiversity

University of Education Vice Chancellor says it is a national duty to preserve forests

University of Education, Lahore organised a seminar on the role of forests in biodiversity at Township Campus.

While addressing the seminar, University of Education Vice Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam said it was our national duty to preserve forests not only for our self but also for the better future of our next generation.

Academia-industry partnership urged to solve biodiversity issues


He emphasised the teachers to spread awareness regarding the benefits of forests.

Forests Department Chief Conservative Ajmal Rahim said forests were not only important for wildlife but also for human life. “Human life is directly depended on forests because they provide oxygen, clean environment, drinking water, food, fruits, vegetables and many more things to satisfy the needs of human beings,” he said.
