Drones Resolution: Court to hear Hafiz Saeed’s case today

The Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear a petition of Jamatud Dawa Chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed today for implementation of a resolution unanimously passed by the parliament against US drone attacks in Pakistan. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the LHC will hear the petition. Earlier, Saeed had filed a petition requesting the court to direct the federal government to make public information regarding matters of public importance. He also asked the court to declare that the pre-emptive strikes by foreign countries were not permitted by the international law. He said the resolution needed to be implemented to live in dignity as a sovereign nation. The hearing of the petition was adjourned by today.
