Man kills friend over business dispute in Faisalabad

Accused Shoaib and Asif had a heated argument over an issue. The culprit opened fire, killing his friend on the spot

A man allegedly gunned down his friend over a business matter in Faisalabad, Express News has learnt.

Samanabad police station official said that 30-year-old Muhammad Asif, a resident of Muzaffar Colony, had been running a property business with his friend Shoaib Butt for the past few years.

He added both men had good relations and would take business related decisions with mutual consent.

He maintained on the day of the incident, Shoaib came to Asif’s house to discuss a matter. The official highlighted that the conversation turned into a heated argument.


He mentioned after an exchange of harsh words, Shoaib took out a pistol and opened fire at Asif. As a result, he was killed on the spot. Later, Factory Areas DSP Imran Kalro and Samanabad police station SHO reached the spot and shifted the body to Allied Hospital for legal formalities.

The police have registered an FIR and started hunting for the accused.

Earlier, a man was gunned down over an enmity within the Saddar police station precincts in Faisalabad.

The police said that Muhammad Saleem, a resident of Sir Syed Town, was riding a motorcycle along with his wife when four unidentified armed suspects intercepted them.

The accused took Saleem a few metres away from the roadside and allegedly opened fire on him. As a result, the victim suffered a bullet injury to the head. He was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment but he could not survive.
