A meeting to finalise arrangements for the festival was held at Booni with Prince Sultan-ul-Mulk in the chair. It was attended by all the conveners, nazims and members of polo team. The meeting decided to hold Qaqlasht festival 2019 under the aegis of the committee and administration will be taken on board for holding the festival in a befitting manner. After the status of Chitral as an autonomous princedom came to an end in 1969, the festivals of the indigenous mountain communities ceased to be celebrated until 2003 when Jashan-e- Chitral was revived through the support of Unesco.
