‘Youth can turn Pakistan into most prosperous nation’

NUML holds seminar on the role of youth in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:
The youth has a vital role to play in the uplift of any country since they are an integral part of any revolution. Even Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had focused on the youth in their effort to build Pakistan.

This was stated by renowned Scholar and author Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Malik while addressing a seminar on “Pakistan and Youth”. The seminar had been organised by the Pakistan Studies Department of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML).

Dr Malik said that the youth can make Pakistan the most developed and prosperous country in the world.

He added that the youth have played a vital role in the freedom of Pakistan and it is our duty to give the youth a chance to turn Pakistan into a great nation.

He said that all of Allama Iqbal’s poetry is about the youth.


“Through his poetry, he tried to make the youth understand the importance of freedom.”

NUML Rector Major-General (retired) Ziauddin Najam said that the seminar had been held in connection with Pakistan Day and that such programmes must be organized throughout the year to keep the youth enlightened about the sacrifice of our forefathers and their struggles to secure this beautiful homeland.

The NUML rector thanked Prof Dr Malik for his arrival and presented him with a memento in this regard.

NUML Director General Brigadier (retired) Muhammad Ibrahim, Social Science Dean Dr Shahid Siddiqui, Pakistan Studies Head of Department (HoD) Dr Fazal-i-Rabbi as well as other faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
