Formula One: Renault’s sporting director quits
He has worked for 10 years with the team.
HETHEL:
Lotus Renault’s sporting director Steve Nielsen has quit his job after over 10 years with the team. Nielsen’s departure is seen as a team-restructuring component that has led to the departure of Chief Designer Bob Bell. “It’s a principal of any competitor to always look at yourself,” said Team Principal Eric Boullier, “We’re still looking at finishing the restructuring of the team to be better.” Alan Permane, another long-serving Renault team member, is expected to assume Nielsen’s responsibilities.
