PM Imran's politics revolves around NAB: Bilawal
PPP chairman flays NAB’s ‘inaction’ against ministers
LARKANA:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government for what he described as “biased accountability”.
“The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has evidence against [incumbent] ministers, but no action is being taken against them,” Bilawal told reporters in Larkana.
“NAB is being used against political opponents. The PTI government is not sincere in actually eradicating corruption and is only using NAB as a tool,” he added. “Every individual must be held accountable no matter what position they hold.”
The PPP chairman said those present with Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Ghotki were against the 1973 Constitution and his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s ideology.
He also maintained that after the 18th Amendment, provinces were handed over institutions but not resources and money.
Bilawal warned that the federal government would face stiff resistance if it tried to roll back or introduce changes to the 18th Amendment.
He also assured reporters that the issues of the journalist colony would be addressed immediately.
Earlier, Bilawal condoled with Larkana Mayor Muhammad Aslam Sheikh over the demise of his brother Ali Nawaz.
He was accompanied by PPP leaders Nisar Khuhro, Syed Nasir Shah and Khursheed Shah.
