Yasinzai says responsibility of govt to improve standard of living

Balochistan Governor Amanullah Yasinzai on Friday said backwardness and poverty would be reduced by utilising all resources in the province.
He said it was the responsibility of both federal and provincial governments to improve the standard of life of the people living in backward areas, said a press release.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of National Assembly Standing Committee for Sustainable Development Goals led by Member of National Assembly Riaz Fatyana which called on him at the Governor House.
He said, “Primary education is the base of knowledge which cannot be ignored in any way.”
Women's role cannot be ignored: Yasinzai
In that regard, he said the provincial government was taking practical steps to adopt modern curriculum from primary to university level for ensuring quality of education.
Yasinzai said measures were under way to end corruption in all government departments to ensure good governance which would have a positive impact in the area very soon.
It was the responsibility of the government to provide justice to the people on equality basis, he added.
The governor and standing committee members exchanged gifts and shields.
