Bakery in Mardan found using rotten eggs
Raiding party found more than 5,000 rotten eggs

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Halal Food Authority (KPHFA) seized and discarded 25,000 litres of fake cold drinks and 5,000 rotten eggs during various raids on Thursday. According to KPHFA Mardan Deputy Director Zeeshan Mahsud, on receiving a complaint a team of the authority raided a manufacturing unit of a popular bakery on the outskirts of the city. The raiding party found more than 5,000 rotten eggs which were being used in manufacturing of batter for bakery items. Besides, the production unit was extremely filthy and unhygienic. The unti was sealed and goods wasted, he said. Separately, KPHFA Kohat Deputy Director Kamran Yousafzai conducted a raid on two warehouses and recovered fake cold drinks of popular brands.
