PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court on Thursday expressed shock and displeasure over the incident of stone pelting on the vehicle of a senior civil judge by a mob in jurisdiction of Darra Adam Khel on March 27.

Expressing its concern over the incident, Peshawar High Court has written letter of displeasure to K-P chief secretary conveying its grave concerns over the safety and protection of judicial officers while discharging their official duties.


Senior Civil Judge (Judicial) Peshawar Abdul Qayum Siddiqui was interrupted  by furious mob from carrying on exhumation of deceased Saad Ullah in FIR No125 dated 02-3-2019  U/S 302/202 PS Matani.

According to Judge Siddiqui before proceeding for exhumation, he had sought full security from DC Kohat and AC Dara Adam Khel, but his planned visit was neither provided security nor he was rescued when his vehicle was surrounded by furious mob holding sticks and pelting stones.
