'Game of Thrones' doesn't really end with the finale
Apart from the prequel, there's a documentary on the Emmy-winning show in the pipeline too

We are nearing towards the end.
The much awaited finale season HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones will premiere on April 14. But it just might not end with its eighth season.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch
Ahead of the release of the season eight of Game of Thrones, makers announced that they will air a two-hour GoT documentary titled Game of Thrones: The Last Watch in May.
The HBO documentary will chronicle behind-the-scenes of the finale season, reported Deadline.
"The movie delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland," statement issued on behalf of HBO officials read.
"Much more than a 'making of' documentary, this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world -- and then have to say goodbye to it."
British film-maker Jeanie Finlay will helm the project.
Game of Thrones prequel
The Game of Thrones prequel was announced last year with Naomi West starring as a protagonist. The pilot is beefing up its cast.
Marquis Rodriquez, John Simm, Richard McCabe, John Heffernan, and Dixie Egerickx have all been cast in series regular roles, reported Variety.
As with all things Game of Thrones, the exact nature of the characters each will be playing is being kept under tight wraps.
The five join previously announced cast members Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Toby Regbo and Miranda Richardson.
Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the new show chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.
And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros' history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend-it's not the story we think we know.
Jane Goldman co-created the project with George RR Martin, whose A Song of Ice and Fire novel series serves as the basis for Game of Thrones.
Goldman and Martin have written the story, with Goldman writing the teleplay. She will also serve as showrunner.
