ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy cordial relations based on strong foundations of religion, brotherhood, history and culture, stated National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser. Exchanging views with Ambassador of Kazakhstan Barlybay Sadykov on Tuesday, he expressed the desire for strengthening bilateral relations and added that Pakistan wanted to further expand existing relations through enhanced parliamentary and economic cooperation. Stressing the need for socio-economic cooperation between the two nations, the speaker pointed out that there existed several opportunities for cooperation in trade, tourism, agriculture and other socio-economic spheres, which could be utilised for the best interests of both countries. Referring to the vast avenues of investment in Pakistan, he pointed out that the government had introduced investment-friendly policies in the country from which Kazakh investors could benefit.
