HYDERABAD:
The four-day polio immunisation campaign targeting 332,263 children of under five years age started in Hyderabad on Monday. Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch launched the drive by administering polio drops to children at CDF Hospital. Meanwhile, District Health Officer Dr Nasreen Memon said that the polio virus found in Hyderabad’s sewage this month originated from Lahore. The samples collected from Tulsi Das pumping station in Hyderabad have shown presence of the virus for the third consecutive month since January this year.
