Electric Shock: Husband suspected in wife’s death
Some relatives, however, suspected that she was killed by her husband and her in-laws.
FAISALABAD:
A woman died in Millat Town on Tuesday allegedly after she was given electric shocks by her husband. The family of the deceased, Zubeida Bibi, said that she had fainted after she touched a live wire. They said she was rushed to a hospital, where she died during treatment. Some relatives, however, suspected that she was killed by her husband and her in-laws. They said Zubeida’s husband, Iqbal, had quarrelled with her in the past and beat her. Iqbal denied the allegations. He said that his wife was ironing clothes when she received the fatal shock. The police have seized the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
