BB’s anniversary: Day marked with blood donations, cake cutting

Several events were organised throughout the Punjab by member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to mark the 58th birth anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

A blood donation camp was set up at PPP’s Rahim Yar Khan district office where dozens of PPP workers besides citizens donated blood. The donors were screened and those diagnosed with Hepatitis B and C were refereed to Shaikh Zayed Medical College. Akram Bhatti, the PPP Rahim Yar Khan president, addressed the workers. He said that Rahim Yar Khan had been setting up the largest number of blood camps every year. A blood donation camp was also set up at Civil Hospital in Faisalabad. The blood was donated to the hospital blood bank. A cake cutting ceremony was held at Bhakkar. The event was presided by divisional president Ejaz Ali Shahani and Malik Sarwar Awan. The PPP workers recalled the sacrifices made by their leaders.
