University organises public awareness walk and oral health camp

The faculty and students of the Institute of Dentistry at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, arranged a public awareness walk in Jamshoro district on Wednesday to mark World Oral Health Day.
World Oral Health Day: ‘Oral diseases are preventable, as long as you take care’
LUMHS Vice Chancellor Dr Bikha Ram Devrajani said people need to understand the connection between the mouth and the body so that they know the impact of oral health on their general health.
He said that millions of people around the world suffer from poor oral health and the situation requires action on individual, family and community levels. An oral health camp was also organised at a local school following the walk.
