Actor was last seen in Anupam Kher starrer, 'Baby'

Local actor has Mikaal Zulfiqar slammed the Indian film industry, saying that the country has always exploited Pakistani artists.

Zulfiqar recently shared his experience of working on the other side of the border and shared that Bollywood exploits and uses Pakistani artists as instruments, later leaving them helpless in tough situations, reported Express News.

Actor was last seen in Anupam Kher-starrer Baby. "The film-makers, at the time of signing, had said Baby was not anti-Pakistan. In fact, they said that the movie does not have any such content when I specifically asked them," shared the actor. "I was not a part of the first part of the film and had no idea about the script. However, I learnt about the reality after its release." he added. "After that, I decided to work in Pakistani movies only. Furthermore, we are also not treated with due respect in India."

The actor also said that once Pakistani artists are involved into difficult situations and controversies, the makers don't pay any heed.

He supported his comment by giving example of Veena Malik, whose photo-shoot landed her in controversy.

The model-cum-actor said that is proud of being a Pakistani and loves working here, where he gets immense respect from his fans. Zulfiqar, like several Pakistanis, worked in India but couldn't leave a mark as his contemporary Fawad Khan did.

Zulfiqar's upcoming movie, Sherdil is slated for release on March 22 that will star Armeena Khan and Hasan Niazi in important roles.
