LAHORE:
A Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) could not file a charge sheet against Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Pir Afzal Qadri and others for making speeches against national institutions and hooliganism during protests and extended the judicial remand of all accused until March 30.
A hearing of the case was held on Saturday at a special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC 4) during which jail authorities presented Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Pir Afzal Qadri and others.
Rizvi’s counsel Murtaza Ali Pirzada, Tahir Minhas and Nasir Minhas appeared before the court. However, due to the participation of the special ATC judge in a Supreme Court meeting, the accused could not be indicted.
ATC to indict TLP leaders on March 16
The court, at the previous hearing, had provided copies of the case files to Khadim Hussain Rizvi and others.
After extending the judicial remand of all accused until March 30, the court adjourned hearing of the case.

A large number of TLP supporters present outside the court chanted slogans and showered petals on the cars bringing their leaders to court.
The accused face charges of damaging public property, inciting people and delivering speeches against national institutions.
