Five nationalist parties join hands
A declaration of the joint struggle from a single platform will be announced on March 18
PESHAWAR:
Five Pashtun nationalist parties have inked an agreement to struggle jointly for the rights of Pashtun people across the province. A statement issued from the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) said that QWP, Mazdoor Kisan Party, National Party, Awami Workers Party and Pakhtunkhwa Ulasi Tehreek would use a single platform to work for the rights of the Pashtuns. The declaration of the joint struggle from a single platform would be announced on March 18 at a press conference in Peshawar. The statement followed a meeting of senior members of the five parties who attended the convention to form the alliance. Those attemeding the meeting included Mazdoor Kisan Party’s Afzal Khamosh and Shakeel WahidUllah and National Party’s head Mukhtar Bacha and Akhunzada Haider Zaman. Pakhtunkhwa Ulasi Tehreek was represented by Zahir Shah Safi and Ajmal Afridi, while QWp delegation was headed by Sikandar Sherpao, Tariq Ahmed Khan and Asad Afridi.
