Possession of Iqama

The SHC adjourned the hearing of the case against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur, Manzoor Wassan, Nasir Hussain, Sohail Anwar Siyal and others regarding the possession of Iqama due to the absence of lawyers.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and comprising Justice Agha Faisal adjourned the hearing till April 3 due to the lawyers’ engagement in other courts.

The plea maintained that Talpur’s assets have increased and the sources for it remain undeclared. There was a sudden addition of rice mills and other companies in the assets of Talpur in 2015. Talpur’s lawyer has also miscommunicated the information regarding companies, the plea stated.

Ranjhani murder case

Another bench of the SHC headed by Justice Aftab Gorar and comprising Justice Amjad Ali Sahito heard the pleas filed by accused, Raheem Shah, and Irshad Ranjhani’s brother, Khalid Ranjhani.
