Anti-Corruption: Patwari, tehsildar accused of extortion
Accused patwari Qaisar Mehmood Cheema of Chhanga Circle extorted Rs50,000 from the victim.

The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sialkot has registered a case against seven officials of revenue department including a naib tehsildar and two patwaries accused of depriving a government school’s female teacher from her property and extorting Rs50,000 from her.
Reportedly, accused patwari Qaisar Mehmood Cheema of Chhanga Circle extorted Rs50,000 from Fehmida Masud, a teacher at Govt Girls High School Bhagatpur-Daska, for getting her her share in her deceased father’s property.
Later, the Cheema transferred the property (including her share) to Masud’s step brothers and sisters by extorting amounts from them with the alleged help of naib tehsildar Nasir Mehmood Jajja and patwari Muhammad Ashraf.
Senior officials of the Revenue Department proved the fraud and corruption during a departmental probe. The ACE Sialkot has registered a case against the seven accused. The ACE has arrested Cheema and sent him to the Sialkot jail, besides, conducting raids for the arrest of Jajja, Ashraf and other culprits.
