This app helps users hear the text written in books, restaurant menus or street signs. It also identifies banknotes and handwritten notes.
Furthermore, the app can describe the appearance of a person along with a prediction of their mood.
“Since the app’s launch in 2017, Seeing AI has leveraged AI technology and inclusive design to help people with more than 10 million tasks,” states the blog post on Microsoft.
The company announced various features that will enhance the user experience while allowing users to recommend and suggest improvements in the functions.
Microsoft co-founder, philanthropist Paul Allen dies at 65
The features include; exploring photos by touch as this feature enables the users to tap their finger anywhere on their touchscreen smartphone that they will then be able to hear. This feature works for images shared on social media or even taken from the user's surroundings.
Currently, Seeing AI is only available for iOS users.
