Defending champions Pakistan continued their mauling at the Junior Asia Cup Hockey Tournament in Singapore when they thrashed Chinese Taipei 17-0 to record their second successive victory in the event.
The defending champions, who overcame Brunei 18-0 in their opening match, showed no signs of leniency towards their Taipei counterparts when they launched an attack soon after the first hooter sounded.
Young striker Asad Bashir, who already had four goals to his tally, improved on his statistics when he scored a double hat-trick to become the top-scorer of the match.
Apart from Bashir, Bilal Qadir and Muhammad Irfan kept their count ticking as they scored three goals each while Mohammad Irfan and Rana Umair played a supporting role spurring two goals each.
Pakistan play their third match of the tournament against hosts Singapore tomorrow.
