ITP charges PSVs for overcharging
Action against the vehicles which were violating the traffic laws
ISLAMABAD:
Traffic Police SSP Farrukh Rasheed said that Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) had taken action against public service vehicles (PSVs) which were violating traffic laws by overloading, misbehaving with the passengers and overcharging fares during the last two months. He added that up to 12,205 public service vehicles were fined including 7,597 buses; 20,677 Suzuki Pick Ups; 2,2875 wagons; 3,988 taxis and 27,544 private vehicles. He also issued directions to all zone in-charge officers to effectively treat public complaints and improvement their performance by increasing efficiency.
