Former baseballer shared a picture of JLo’s hand donning a massive rock with the caption, 'She said yes'

Superstar Jennifer Lopez and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez have just announced their engagement! The two had been dating for two years, reported Fox News.

The two celebs, who often document their relationship milestones on social media, took to Instagram on Saturday night to share the news with fans. “She said yes,” Rodriquez captioned a picture of JLo’s hand, donning a massive rock. JLo posted the same picture on her Instagram handle.

The proposal comes just a day after Rodriguez posted a message on his Instagram story about soulmates. “A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you. No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be."

February 4 marked the couple's two-year anniversary. The retired Seattle Mariner, Texas Ranger and New York Yankee had shared an emotional message for his now-fiancée. “Only 730 days, which have flown by, but it feels like we have been together forever. We are meant to be, and how much you mean to me cannot be put into words,” Rodriquez had stated.

The I'm Into You singer also shared a heartfelt note. "Two years of laughter . Two years of fun. Two years of adventures. Of excitement of growing and learning. Of true friendship. And so much love! You make my world a more beautiful safe and stable place. In the midst of our ever-changing, ever-moving life... you make me feel like a teenager starting out all over again... Every time I think I have you pegged, you surprise me in the most wonderful ways reminding me how blessed I am to have found you now in this moment at this time, our time. Te Amo Macho."

Lopez and A-Rod first met at Shea Stadium in Queens back in 2005.
