Women urged to face challenges in male dominated society
MPA Ayesha Bano says a new bill on prevention of domestic violence will be passed soon
PESHAWAR:
Women must accept and celebrate challenges to thrive in a male dominated society, said speakers at University of Peshawar Teachers Association event held to mark International Women Day.
Women should know their rights, legal status and show consistency in their struggle, speakers at the TCC Hall of UoP. They also urged women to be compassionate and cooperate with their near and dear ones to grow professionally.
Senior female professors, retired faculty members and literati were present on this occasion to celebrate the day along their students.
MPA Ayesha Bano as a guest of honour told participants that a new bill on prevention of domestic violence will be passed soon subject to opposition cooperation.
She said that according to IMF report 30 per cent of GDP could be increased while giving equal opportunities to women folk in economy.
She said that community and governments together can ensure women uplift and progress in the society.
