Punjab government to remain alert to meet any kind of emergency
LAHORE:
Punjab Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mahmood has directed the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) to ensure pre-monsoon arrangements across Punjab.
Presiding over a meeting on Friday, he said the Punjab government would remain alert to meet any kind of emergency in the coming monsoon season. All departments concerned, including the district administration, has been asked to take pre-emptive measures in this regard, he added.

He said every possible step would be taken to ensure the protection of lives and properties of the masses. “Districts of South Punjab will be especially focused and all the district authorities should be kept in the loop till the end of rainy season,” he said.
He pointed out that due to heavy snowfall this year, any untoward situation might occur so by April 10, details should be collected from the departments concerned.
